Black Moon Lilith (BML) in Astrology

What is BML?  In astrology Black Moon Lilith is the geometric point in the sky that marks the furthest point of the moon’s orbit around the earth. 

The furthest position of the Moon in relation to the Earth.

This transit position goes takes 9 years to go through the 12 zodiacs and 9 months in each zodiac.

Lilith's Story

The story of Lilith begins in mythology back in the time of Mesopotamia.  The story goes that she was the first woman, created in the Garden of Eden, first wife to Adam. 

During Sexual encounters Adam wanted to be the aggressor by being the one on top and Lilith did not want to submit to Adam in that way as she wanted to be the aggressor as well.  With this disagreement Lilith left Adam and the Garden of Eden.  While leaving she was transformed into a winged Demoness.During her absence Adam felt lonely and wanted a wife, so God sent 3 Angels to retrieve Lilith.

The 3 Angels found Lilith and asked her to return to the Garden and Adam, but she did not want to go back to what felt like slavery.  Lilith gained the freedom desired from the rules of man and knew that returning meant all of this being taken away.

Lilith's Punishment

Because of this they cast a punishment on her by having 100 of her offspring killed daily so her kin would not grow.  Naturally this angered Lilith, so she retaliated and would kill newborn babies by disease, sickness and death.

In her retaliation, Lilith wanted to have more children to keep her family growing, so she would come to men at night in their sleep and have sexual encounters planting her seed, thus the myth was created of the succubus.

The 3 Angels names are Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof.

Found on a parchment paper of middle eastern descent was the information regarding an amulet of protection from Lilith. If you placed an amulet with the name of the 3 Angels on it, and placed it on the baby, lilith could not harm it.

Lilith in Historical Text

The name Lilith derives from a class of female demons (lilûlilîtu, and lilî) in the Ancient Mesopotamian religion. Her name is mentioned in Judaic Mythology in the Book of Isaiah and in the Babylonian Talmud, also found in cuneiform texts of Sumer, Assyria, and Babylonia.
